Overlord II Review

While the big bad Overlord may not have made it to the end of the first game, his son, the Overlad, is the central character of this thoroughly enjoyable sequel. Taking control of the Overlad you’ll learn to control an ever growing horde of comedy minions with specialist skills and funny voices, who you’ll use to overrun villages, kidnap maidens and battle the Roman-esque Glorious Empire.
Feeling like a mix of Fable and Pikmin, Overlord II offers tactical and strategic gameplay elements in the control and drilling of your minions, while still playing like a traditional adventure game as you pilot the Overlad himself. Not only is it fun to play, but it’s also gorgeous to look at and bursting with hilarious voice acting and excellent environmental sound effects, and while it might be a little frothy for some tastes, we’d still highly recommend it.
