Snow Patrol A Hundred Million Suns Review

Review date: 24.11.2008
Our rating:

Of all the many bands making their living from mope-rock, Snow Patrol are the liveliest, the most likely to inject an unexpectedly uplifting chorus into their sauntering balladry. It’s this ability to merge a plaintive, introverted sound with a sudden lively hook that makes Snow Patrol stand out, and while their latest album, A Hundred Million Suns, doesn’t feature any songs that hit the individual heights of Run or Set Fire to The Third Bar, it’s solid from start to finish. Free from unwanted lulls and refreshingly lacking in filler despite closing with an indulgent 16 minute portmanteau song, A Hundred Million Suns is a four star album.
