Star Wars The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels Review

Review date: 12.12.2008
Our rating:

After the mild disappointment of Star Wars: Force Unleashed, Star Wars The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels represents a second chance for lightsaber combat to find a home on the console that seems the best fit for it . This being a Wii game, the graphics aren’t the sharpest you’ve ever seen, but the characters and sets are beautifully designed and the sound effects feature all the requisite lightsaber whoosh and crackle that any would-be Jedi wants to hear. Clone Wars is much simpler than Force Unleashed, and the result is a fun game with responsive controls and an enjoyable beat-em-up style of play. Combat is very repetitive and shallow, which will put off core gamers but makes it an ideal option for kids or party gamers.
