Ferrari Challenge: Trofeo Pirelli Review

Review date: 29.08.2008
Our rating:

Ferrari Challenge isn’t the sort of driving game that helps the backmarkers catch up or steps in with a bit of sympathetic ABS when you overcook a corner. It’s the sort of technical racer that sticks you in a Ferrari and ruthlessly punishes you for mistimed braking. If such realism appeals to you then the sense of accomplishment you get from mastering the racing skills will more than make up for the lack of arcade-style racing thrills that comes from being pit against a cautious and uncompetitive AI. Ferrari Challenge is absorbing, and mastering it feels like a genuine achievement, but it doesn’t have the broad appeal of its competitors and consequently finishes in the pack.
